Imagery and Visualization in Sport - Fear of Failure - The role of the coach, athlete and parents
This workshop will also focus on how to deal with the Fear of Failure.
Ask yourself: "what kind of competitor are you? Do you like to play it safe or are you willing to take a chance, risking on possibly failing in order to win?" More than anything else, it is a fear of failure that keeps people from achieving their full potential.
No matter if you are doing team sports or individual events, you are always part of a team. To participate in any form of sport requires a collective effort from more than just the efforts of the athlete. This collective effort is the “Performance Partnership”. In this workshop we will also look at the role of the coach, athlete and parent.
In sport there is an increasing awareness of how important mental factors are within athletic performance and it is recognized that physical talent is not the only component which leads to success.
This workshop will focus on:
- What is Imagery and Visualization?
- Aspects to remember when doing Imagery and Visualization
- Dealing with the fear of failure
- The role of the Coach, athlete and parents
* These topics form part of the more comprehensive 8 module Sport Mind Mastery course.
